On June 24th I have a show at the Cologne Festival C/O Pop. My show is at the brilliant venue Stadtgarten. I played 3 shows at Stadtgarten last year and can’t wait to be back in Köln.

A little something to keep you informed; I’m currently in Los Angeles, writing new material for my next album. I will be working on this albums between tours in the spring (starting next week) and Festival performances in the summer. I also would like to bathe in flowing lava in Iceland and do all kinds of other exciting things.

YAY! I got nominated for “The Best Song” to the Iceland Music Awards. It’s for Digging up a Tree.
At the Danish Film Awards last night, Tina Dico’s soundtrack to Nicholas Steen’s movie “Oldboys” was awarded with “the best score” and “the best song in a film”. I was, together with Tina and Dennis Ahlgren, involved in arranging and recording the music last year. Both at the legendary Electric Lady Studios in New York as well as in Iceland and Denmark. I’m so very proud of Tina, her awards are well deserved and the writing for the film is brilliant.

Arrived back in Iceland yesterday, in a storm so great that the plane was more like a roller-coaster than anything else. Last week I played shows with Tina Dickow in Denmark, really special and enjoyable shows that were a part of her Pledge Music Project. Now is the last chance to participate in mine and Pledge. Two weeks ago in Hamburg:
‘For the Rest of my Childhood’ has been awarded as being one of 6 most outstanding Icelandic albums of 2009 by Kraumur Music Fond.
Nominated on the Kraumur-list were 20 Albums from all genres. Last Thursday the committee, consisting of the Icelandic music journalists, presented this years winners.

I was recently asked if I could make ringtones from my songs. I find the thought of people hearing a song of mine every time their phone rings rather strange; but got the idea of writing a tiny little thing that people could use as a ringtone for their fancy phones.
