My dear Friends! Long time no see
For the past 7 weeks I’ve been working in Berlin, on an opera-meets-theatre-meets-Helgi-Jonsson-piece by Falk Richter with Berliner Staatsoper and Schaubuehne. Here’s the press release:

Together with the Staatsoper, we’re presenting an exceptional performance: In his new project, Falk Richter combines his own texts with compositions of new music – seven composers, including the Icelandic singer/songwriter Helgi Jónsson, are involved in the production. Actors meet singers, musicians and dancers. The characters are forever seeking, restless, reeling from one occasion to the next, negotiating the longing for closeness, the burden of infinite possibilities, the constant pressure of self-optimization – and the opera Eugene Onegin.
Premiere on 14 June
8 performances: 17, 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 29 and 30 June, 8pm.

It’s an amazing experience and a powerful show and I urge you all to come to Berlin and see it!
